■Action

The action is not large, but rather tight-pitched to avoid alarming the bass. Even on a slow retrieve, the tail swings at high speed and the sides of the body flicker rapidly, creating a wob and roll action that, combined with the realistic shape, produces an extremely natural visual effect.

■Shape

The slim, flattened body shape is not designed to be used with a no-sinker bait, but rather to resemble the shape of a real small fish. Only the head part, which first receives water, is horizontally flattened, and from there the lure is vertically flattened with a swollen belly, resulting in a low center of gravity. This creates both a realistic visual effect and swimming stability.

Slits for both hooking performance and snagless performance

The back of the lure has a shallow slit for easy hooking, while the belly has a deep slit for smooth hooking. The slit is also superior in snagless performance by embedding the needle tip in the wall inside the slit.

■Hook Support

Uniquely shaped padding that wraps around the crank of the offset hook makes it easy to pull out the needle tip from the center line and holds the hook firmly in place. It also contributes to the prevention of body breakage.

Material

The optimum balance of hardness and specific gravity of salt for a 5.5-inch hook was carefully selected. It produces the high pitch action unique to the Velap Swimmer and is also strong enough to be used comfortably. It also contains a triple blend of shrimp, squid, and baitfish powder to promote bites even by smell.
